WHO WE ARE
G&H began as a tool and die shop in 1958 with a handful of employees. We manufactured a variety of precision-stamped specialty products used by operators and service companies to drill and complete oil and gas wells.
On a wellsite, our products were only a small part of a complex system of equipment and procedures, but the quality of these products mattered greatly. A product that was improperly manufactured, structurally flawed, or not delivered on time could undermine safety or cause downtime and operating costs to soar. Uncompromising quality has always been essential. Through determined effort, both G&H and our products developed a reputation for dependability.
By 2010, we were experiencing remarkable growth in demand for perforating guns built to the highest level of quality and delivered faster than any of our competitors. In 2011, G&H launched its own patented line of perforating guns under the trade name Yellow Jacket Oil Tools™. A few years later, G&H launched the industry’s most reliable line of patented frac plugs, under the trade name M1™. Following our belief in change for the better, we set course to become the industry’s “Plug & Perf Powerhouse™.”
Today, G&H employs over 300 people. We have 230,000 sq ft of manufacturing space between our ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturing facilities in Northwest Houston. Manufacturing in Houston provides abundant access to an experienced labor pool and competitive pricing on raw materials. It is our strategic advantage over our competitors. We have earned 52 U.S. patents (awarded and pending).
With over six decades of accumulated knowledge, innovative research and development in materials and processes, and state-of-the-art production and inspection equipment, our craftsmanship and capabilities are unmatched.

By the early 1990s, we were experiencing remarkable growth in demand for two product lines in particular: perforating guns and expendable plugs. Following our belief in change for the better, we adjusted our business model accordingly and set about becoming the industry’s “Plug & Perf Powerhouse.”
Today, we employ over 300 people. We have 120,000 sq ft of manufacturing space at our ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturing facility in Northwest Houston. We operate strategically located warehouses in major U.S. oil and gas producing regions. We have earned 52 U.S. patents (awarded and pending).

Though Ed still likes to play with industrial grade lasers, you’ll likely spot him and the Mrs. at the family ranch enjoying retirement.

With their bold and creative vision, the future looks bright with the next generation in leadership.
THE FUTURE
G&H ranks number one among our competitors for perforated guns and number five among our competitors for expendable plugs. We have sold over 7.6 million perforating guns in the last ten years alone and our products have been used in 135 unique customer locations. Our client roster is intensely loyal and includes all industry leaders in upstream oil and gas. The goal is simple: be number one and stay number one. Through constant product innovation and recruitment of talented team members, we never stop evolving and shaping our future.

She toured production, checked out a perf gun build, inspected a frac plug, and even jumped on a forklift to help load a truck.
