NEXTGEN RELEASE TOOL (XRT)

Yellow Jacket’s NextGen Release Tool (XRT) represents a distinctive departure from conventional Release Tool designs, by using an innovative Load Ring approach. Unlike other tools, our design deviates from using a detonator to fracture frangible components within the load path. Instead, an igniter is used to build internal pressure, activating the tool. The Load Ring is a robust, longevity-driven component, in contrast to the frangible alternatives seen in other systems. If a gun string is stuck, the XRT can be initiated with any addressable switch including Yellow Jacket’s Digital Switch System™.
